Gup, have you heard of surrealism? It's a kind of art that makes no sense whatsoever. So neither does the joke.
That's why it's supposed to be funny.
And Jack's joke...Buddhists are always trying to attain oneness with the universe...so the monk asks the hot dog guy to "make him one with everything" except he's talking about a hot dog with everything....
Um...that didn't help, did it? :-3
