it has been all over the news today about the fire on the cutty sark and i agree that
it is a dreadfull thing that has happened.
but read further into the the story and the cutty sark trust has had a lottery grant of
12 million pounds.
how can they justify 12 million quid for a 137 year old ship?
i admit shes famous but how many hospitals would that run? and how many
incubators would that provide for special care babies.
or how many policemen would that put on the beat?
the list is endless.
giving 12 million away to the beard and sandals preservation brigade is wrong morally the 12 million could have been spent on more important things not some overpaid bearded historians.
yes preserve the past but not at the expense of police on the beat and hospital patients.

That small change compared to the £750, 000,000.00 wasted on the Millenium Dome, and the doesn't include the £750,000.00 per MONTH wasted on security. I pass the damn thing twice a day, and it really is nigh on impossible to fathom out where the money went. It's just a bloody great stadium - no more, no less.
Going off-subject slightly, I don't support this twisted Government: that is why I do not do the Lottery, Premium Bonds or anything else where they hope to get their grubby little hands on my money. As soon as I am paid I draw every penny out and pay for everything in cash. That way the Government don't know what you're spending it on.:-5 Grrr!
