and sometimes unfair

it deals the card

without a care

I work hard for my money

and always up and about

there is still no time for my honey

makes me want to shout!



So this is my Resolution:

The Wilted Wreath

A stamp from afar was found in the mail,

The male in my life was saying goodbye,

Goodbye! in shreds I put in the trash pail,

Pale fragments of worthless words from that guy.

Guy I hooked to his car, soon it’s a wreck,

Reckless fury to erase every rote,

Wrote an adios to my life’s bad check,

Check resolution, Bahamas I vote.



*wreath form-end word starts the next line, or some format thereof......LOL It is an old form of poetry from the 17th century or earlier.

I think that my existing destitution

has caused my sickly constitution

although I fear God's retribution

not giving up the prostitution

has to be my resolution.

Why cant I look away from those cakes

Why cant I stop eating all those flipping flakes

Those Indian meals are so very nice

But oh gawd yet again another vice

Roast potatoes ......goodness I love them so much

Why cant I make a New Years resolution that all this I will not touch

I look at the salad so boring I have to say

Oh to hell with it...........Im gonna order a takeaway!!

A Cry for Help



Resolution, Resolution

O! Please grant the grand solution

I cannot possibly do it myself

Without help from above



Resolution please help me shun

Habits and people and things that are fun

Patterns that keep me from stopping myself

These habits that I love!

These new year’s resolutions

Are difficult, at best,

But there’s something I can do each day

That will put my soul at rest

Log into Forum Garden every day and have my say

On writing a poem

what word rhymes with resolution,

and makes sense with no confusion?

no good putting down "contusion",

there has to be a good solution

All else is just illusion.
