What pushes you to have a drink?

Nothing makes me drink. I just enjoy it during a night out with friends.

Stress, or if I'm out with friends and I know I can let my hair down and someone is driving me home.

I tried to drink last weekend....it didn't work out too well, perhaps I'll work on that again tonight:-5

i can only answer this question for me...since my dad is an alchohlic and it runs in my family i am wary of it...i dont want to depend on it for an escape, a deversion.. or a way to socialize....i drink about twice a year and that is enough for me...and it is usually to just remember why i dont want it...besides i got the air headed goof ball down pat ....dont need any help..:wah:

I drink because it's social interaction and I do like the taste of beer.

i used to think going out and getting really drunk,almost of my head, was fun...how wrong can you be?! now i've grown up a little, a nice glass of wine once every week or so suffices

I rarely drink. I don't like the taste of beer. So if I drink it's a mixed drink of some kind

I drink very infrequently. Usually if we are out for dinner, I will order one. Never liked the loss of control of too much drinking.

Uhh... why does anything have to push you to drink?? Drinking in and of itself isn't a bad thing. I enjoy a drink now and then. And, occasionally, under the right circumstances, I enjoy getting good and sloshed. Nothing wrong with either. :p

Nothing makes me drink, I just choose to do it to unwind. I either work out, or have a glass of wine, or go to bed early.

i never drink at home but i really do love a beer when i'm out with the lads :sneaky:





besides it makes me so happy ..... till i wake up at 3 am with my tongue stuck to the pillow and my mouth really dry and i drink about 3 pints of water and then cant get back to sleep as i have to keep getting up to go to tiolet :-5 :-5

I went out with friends earlier I had two and a half pints lager.We had a meal as well.I was happy and relaxed.Now I am home I have poured myself a whisky.Still feel relaxed and contented and will sleep well tonight.I hate getting drunk you know when the room spins around and you throw up.Did that a couple of times when I was a lot younger and thought never again.Happy and relaxed is OK at the weekend.

I drink almost every day.

Mixed drinks are dangerous. They candy up the alcohol and make it easier to over-imbibe. I used to do bourbon-and-coke. Never again. Gin and lemonade is great as long as the color stays yellow!

These days the drinks of choice are bourbon and scotch, neat. No ice, no water, no damned thing. Whisk(e)y and a glass, as the distiller intended.

I don't believe I've drunk-posted yet, but I've all but promised Pinky a drunk duel one o' these days. :wah:
