Naturally it bring me back to the Infamous Loch Ness Monster on which so much money has been spent, especially by the Japanese in trying to prove, photograph or whatever.

A law went through parliament many years ago that it is illegal to catch or kill the Loch Ness Monster!

I have cycled the length of the loch and driven along the same road many times both north and south but never caught a sight of it. Yet Tim Dimsdale saw it the very first time he went to look for it and spent the rest of his life trying to see it again.

But we have monsters in other Sottish lochs and in one just north of Loch Ness there were two doctors and a lawyer out in a boat fishing when it reared its huge head right up beside the boat and looked at them. Then slowly sank back down into the murky depths of the loch.

They, the lochs in Scotland are all FREEZING, dark and murky which is the reason photography is almost useless under water

With all the strength they could muster, once they had got over the initial shock, they rowed ashore and went with all the haste they could muster, to the nearest police station (That shows how long ago it was - they had police stations in those days)

The Policeman they reported their sighting to said that over his long career he reckoned he was a good judge of men and he had never in his life seen three more scared men than the three who spoke to him that night.

He is in no doubt that they did see what they described - another NESSIE but this time in another loch.

No doubt the Station whisky flowed swiftly that night.

I have tried checking the maps but there are so many lochs north of Loch Ness I just cannot remember the name.

The only proof there is, is that it was recorded in the the Police Station Report Book and probably still remains there to this day.

However, myself and other acquaintances have spoken to many locals around Loch Ness and almost 99% of them say they have seen "The Beastie" and that included one church minister and several deacons.

They say they just don't speak about it to "foreigners" because they know that they will be laughed at.

The BBC had a photograph last week of an eleven year old boy in the USA standing beside a eight or ten feet long wild pig (hog?) he had shot by himself. That also is considered to be another impossible story except for the photograph.
