i have only heard the bare bones of this story, it seems simpson's daughter was taken into custody for yelling profanities at (miami) LE officers and actually slapped one of them. i am waiting to hear exact charges. it is my initial feeling that she has no reason (or role model ) to respect the law.

ok...arrest happened on saturday. she was charged with disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest , which is punishable by one year or less in jail. it is claimed she hit two people in the face but they declined to press charges. i recall awhile back sydney called LE screaming about her father...i often wonder what she and her brother really think about their dad. she is 19 and goes to college in boston. this will get buried and thrown out since she has no priors.

first..Cass, this is sydney, Nicole's daughter with oj. as for the courts, we are used to it and expect it, a young person with no priors should get another chance, but i do think in view of slapping the cop she needs to be put on probation. greydeadhead, with no priors you would get some type of community service or probation also , in all likelihood.

i don't give a rat's corpse what the cop may have said to her...from all reports her behavior was out of control , cursing out the cops, and the officers were making a lawful arrest. if she had slapped me she would have been pepper-sprayed at the very least. the cop showed restraint. she slapped the cop's hand, no big deal some may think, but if 'you' lay a hand on me when i am dealing with you in official capacity, you better be prepared to face the consequences. touch me and it's battery on a LEO, a serious charge.

Don't you have to get rather close to a suspect in order to use a taser? And how aggravating is it that there are stories about the few deaths that have occurred because of tasers, and NONE of the arrests made using them instead of guns, where no one was hurt? You hear about someone all coked up getting hit with a taser and he dies, and all of a sudden cops are all "taser-happy".

TASERS can shoot the projectile barbs (on thin wires) from about 18 feet away. a taser delivers 50,000 volts and interferes with the electrical impulses controlling the muscles of the target, forcing them to go down. it is a good alternative to deadly force. often, simply unholstering the taser gun is enough to gain compliance from an uncooperative or combative individual.

Sydney looks like a problem. Sydney is in trouble in her troubled life. Am i right cop? You can tell by her look-the media watches and reports about her troubles not her accomplishments. LC, it is a pleasure to hear your responses as they are genuine (real). You respect ideas of everyone, you do not realize, yes you do, what a saviour you are...I don't cry my eyes on my sleeve, but i do state how i feel...this Sydney child--"bad news". we LOVE our K-9s, in fact don't like to risk their welfare and safety. i'd rather shoot some dirtbag than let one of our precious 4-legged deputies get hurt! we bought them all bullet-proof vests this past year. thay are invaluable and as much a part of our family as anyone. we only send them in when it's deep brush and we need to flush some fool, or hold them leashed to intimidate if necessary. our dogs are drug-sniffers and bomb-sniffers for the most part.

oj simpson will be on greta van susteren at 10 pm eastern on FOX discussing his daughter's arrest. i cannot stand that he still gets air time or ANY credibility, but i will watch...just so i can pick out the lies.( kind of like watching amber frey on the book tour a couple weeks ago... i hate myself for it, but it hones my interrogation skills.) of course with oj you don't need to be a cop, you can tell he lies by the act of moving his lips.
