So we went to beach today, & while I was looking out at the surfers riding the big waves in on their surf boards, I saw several Shark dorsal fins break the water's surface! After repeatedly seeing them, & I was sure they were fins, I ran over to the Life Guard Station, & told them about what I saw & that I was concerned for the surfers out there so close to the fin sightings.

"The two Life Guards" said to me in a very cavalier way, oh we don't worry until somebody raises their hand out there & yells "Help-Me, Help Me!!! :-5

I was appauled at their debonaire attitide, was I wrong?

I've lived in Florida since '89 and I never seen or heard of such a thing!

Did you take their crack away before you left?

Where did this happen? Boca?

Bull sharks are aggresive! One find out who is above them, two contact a local news team and make sure you get the names of the jerks who made the comment, contact the local town mayor and then take yourself to another beach!

Please explain why this beach has a life guard?

You need to file a complaint with Parks & Recreation.

Keep filing complaints until someone hears you.

We could offer up the life guards to them as a surfer sacrifice? :sneaky:

LOL Fester!

I think I'd have pulled them off the lifeguard chairs, and told them to do what they are obviously overpaid to do!

The Beach was in Delray, and the Life Guards were not old enough to have seen the original Jaws in 75! :wah: Guess they never saw any re-runs either!

The Guards actually said that the "surfers" know the risks & they don't care, so the Guards can't do anything. And that they could not drag them out!!! :wah:
