if your getting picked on the net all the time by a couple of people and you couldnt strike back before.. but now u've reached a boiling point and enough is enough...... should you strike back?

its sad cause i just keep getting picked on the net.. and i hate turning the other cheek.... should i strike back finally or let them use me as a doormat... cause i could blast them on youtube or my myspace. (and the people who are blasting me dont really do anything on youtube) and i got alot of subscribers to my show.

to be honest if any one picks on me i'm usually to busy trying to annoy wisey ,soberego and bh672 to get involved in stupid nasty muppets but if someone gets really personal you have to go get um tiger,I had someone picking on me every single day and I just let it go ,in fact I used to get up have a cup of tea and have a good laugh at what she had posted about me ,its only when she really got nasty with someone else I care about that I kicked off ,and just lately she has been just as vile to someone else ,some people just want to be nasty full stop ,and if they think your an easy target they will take advantage , where someone else could be having a bad day be nasty then pm you saying sorry later its a tough call ...good luck

I have to admit I understand being pushed to your limit... and from my experience I think it's best to just avoid it/them.

I was once asked to join a forum by someone who felt they were being 'got at' by another member, and they wanted me to 'stand up for them' and have a go back.

Not sure I'd do that again in a hurry, as I feel people are better off fighting their own battles.

I find the best way to deal with people having a 'pop' at you is to remain calm, and if anything employ sarcasm and a dry wit. If that doesn't work, simply insult them in a language they don't understand......

You may want to find out why someone is picking on you and get to the bottom of it . People think they can hide behind a computer screen and they get off on harassing people . Its quite sad really,if someone was harrassing you in the real world you would deal with it so why should online be any different . I have one person who mentions me every third sentence ( a convicted thug) so i keep a record of everything incase i need to inform the authorities. Good luck mate .

I agree and think this is great advice. If you'll remain 'bulletproof' when you come online, you can learn to have fun with obnoxious people. They often implode rather easily.

A lot of these people who try and cyber bully, are trying to bait you. It's called fishing, trolling, etc. So when you cave in and freak out on them, you're really just letting them win. They want you to, they're trying to push your buttons and get you to flip out, get mad, etc. They get their jollies off seeing you get affected by something they said about you.

Well revenge is sweet and forgiveness is divine.There are times in out lives I think that revenge should be made by the way of standing up for ourselves and exposing our attackers for who they truely are without losing who were are as a person or in a way that would bring disrespect to ourself.

Revenge really is a personal choice.It is not always an easy thing to walk away from depending on the persons personality and inner strength.

To be honest I think if you have probs with a person it is best sorted through PM email or messenger.Believe me I have been there. Hope it all works out for you.

If the person is a bit of a nutter you will never sort things out,so best to ignore them.
