i made good friends on the forum sites ,well some ,but also been betryed ,have you any such experiences to share

I haven't been betrayed, quiet the opposite to be honest.

I have made and met loads of friends from the internet.

Loz is my best mate and I only met her last year! (online)

I find it so easy to build up a trust with somone on the internet.

I am an open book.

I shouldn't be really.

Its all been good so far!

oh dear you all make me sound so negative!...well i met my true love on the net,and a good friend who happens to be a vicar,1 0r 2 total loons as well,but on the whole very very good,must admit its a bit of a lottery on friends reunited.ive been propositioned,practicaly raped!insulted and as i said blatently betrayed,but all in all fasinating .please tell more folks

My goodness have I lol but Chris you know most of them anyway but I tell you something..........the internet can make or break a relationship and yes there are a few out there as in life out to hurt you but I guess as ineveryday life you have to sort them out and just get on with it.

I have made some great forum friends and enemies... I have met some great FG members in person and even if we do not keep in touch I treasure them

I also have some great FG friends I am dying to meet one day and treasure them as well.

Any friends let me down naw I don't think so... I have stood on the edge of one or 2 friendships and in the end we did not gel so no I would say I was not let down, they took time to show the true colors and well we just did not match.

Make sense?

on one site in particular,there are all sorts,friends,enemies,windup merchants,downright nasties,and gooey syrruppy girls.some even have their own stalkers!one guy in particular was hounded mercilessly by one woman who had 4 different ids!!he eventually left the site and started up his own forum!

yes minks i get it,they say that to meet in person could make or break a relationship.when carrolley and i met,she asked me do you think we will get on ,i said we could do 1 of 3 scenarios,1=friends,2=enemies,3=end up choseing curtains,we pick my curtains together in my new home soon.and then.wts

Fanks Suzy yes me and Chris have come through so much after meeting on frc but every day brings us even closer.:-4

you got that right, and like I said I treasure every single person I met from FG. I am sad I do not keep in contact with them all but they are ALL in my heart.

I have one VERY close "net" friend, he's the only person I arranged to meet off the net.

We keep in contact alot! Very close which is nice...we both come to each other for advice or when we need to talk!

Other than that..I have tons of friends online, that I haven't met...like Loz and Nats...they are both so nice to me I would love to meet up with them one day

the problem with the net (here in england at least)is that blokes dont make friends of each other,and blokes and a girl start out as friendship but usualy get entangled somewwhere along the line.i envy the girls you can make tons of friends ,,,carolley has her own thread on frc that has 8000 replies!and has been running a year come april.she has hundreds of friends thru it!

I don't agree with that, Jim has lots of women friends on line and I do with men, it only becomes more than friendship if people decide to do that but I don't find that the norm

Ive never been betrayed. Im certain Ive been misunderstood. I have had my feelings mildly hurt. I treasure the memory of the friends I met in England last spring. I hope I have the chance to see them again, and perhaps meet a few more.

I've had good and bad experiences.

The good ones, to me anyway, far outweigh the bad ones. If I had just stopped meeting people or talking to anyone online after the bad experiences..than I wouldn't have met my best friend and roomate of the past 2 years, and I wouldn't have met my boyfriend. :-4

So no matter what bad people are out there in the world, both online and in person..there are always the good folk as well, who definitely are worth going through the jerks to find them.

I have met so many people on-line in the 'real world', most I have stayed really good friends with and still see or at least chat with. Only the odd few I don't, either guys who I seen and only a couple of females I used to be friends with that turned out not to be so nice. Everyone else I'm so glad I met.

I've met loads of people from the net as I and many of my friends used to be into cars in a big way .

We would always have meets ups all over the country and go to car shows together some times there would be hundreds of us driving down the same motorway at the same time . was so much fun :-6

I haven't meet any weirdos or dishonest people yet :-2

The only thing I would share are the great people I've met here.

i was phoned today by a vicar i met on friends reunited,he is a great pal and always makes me feel i have made a genuine pal.the nagative ones are hopefully gone forever so it dont realy matter bout them eh?
