Have you ever had a relationship that lasts for a long time, and you realize that you were their relationship to get over someone or something in life, I just finished one that lasted 6 and a 1/2 years.

sometimes I feel pissed off, but then I remind myself, that the other person just doesnt get it. The big picture of life, that me me me I am center of the universe, is not the attitude to have.

Wow, 6 1/2 years? I wouldn't stay in a relationship for that long unless it was a marriage. Men don't like to hear that. I get out of them if I do not see it happening during the first year.

Do you mean you were with him for all of that time and he was just with you to get over someone else? If so, I don't think he would have stayed with you that long if that's all it was.
