Fakin' It

This may be perhaps the oddest request for help with a song ever made!
On Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends album is a song named Fakin' It. At one point in the song, a door opens, a bell rings, and a woman asks, with a delightful British accent, "Good morning, Mr. Leitch, have you had a busy day?" Does anybody know anything about this? I've spent years wondering who spoke these words, and where this line came from.
Thanks, BH
