Is this wrong?

Nope I think it is perfect. Go for it and have fun, I had friends who did that and they had a reception of sorts back home and everybody was perfectly fine with it. A few of us crazies mind you joined them in Las Vegas to offer our support and it was grant. So do what you feel best doing.

I agree with Minks. Have a great time, save some money and then maybe have your parents (or you) throw a reception party after your wedding. Those can be quite fun and much less stressful!

By the way.. someone I kow was married in vegas and the wedding was on a web cam - so I watched it later :)

This sounds great.. hit up the Elvis drive thru chapel of love... Congrats to both of you... and Paris is great. of course I have not visited there in years but there is sooooo much to do there. Museums, food, drink.... Mais Oui...
