Daddy's An Idiot

A couple points not mentioned in this CBC story :
1) We're in the grip of a brutal Arctic cold snap. The temperature is about -16C, and with the gusting wind, the windchill index reading is -30C.
It's criminally irresponsible to leave a child unattended in an idling vehicle on a pleasant spring day. It's madness to leave a child in a vehicle when it is so viciously frigid.
2)The collision was not accidental. Einstein pursued the stolen van in his other vehicle. When he encountered it, he decided that ramming it would be a good idea. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
I certainly hope they catch the car thief, but I also hope Pops is charged with something... perhaps reckless endangerment :
from cbc.ca
Halton Regional police say the father started the minivan to warm it, then left his young child in the vehicle for a moment while he ran back into his Oakville house.
When he returned, the minivan was gone.
