Sneaky Speeders

Just came across an article where "Sneaky Speeders" use a product called "PHOTOBLOCKER" sprayed on their License Plates! By using this invisible product on their plates, it foils Police "Red Light Photo Radar Cameras"- that uses a flash to photograph the plate. This PHOTOBLOCKER spray "reflects" the flash back to the camera and "blocks" (overexposes) the photo. :sneaky: Their claim: No plate-No Ticket!

Not advocating speeding, but some of you will anyway, so for those of you who want to be sneaky, check out WWW.Photoblocker.com :D

That's all very well, but it doesn't actually work!

I haven't used it - it's illegal under the construction & use regulations, as well as not actually working....

There's loads of info. out there (Google, group search) but most of it appears to be spam backing the product....

What about the clear cover plates people use? Creates the same glare from flash and off angled photos.

Nope! I don't use them.

Clear Cover plates are "illegal" in many states and are not to be used because of that possibility! I once got a Ticket many years ago in NY when I lived there, for having a clear cover plate over the license plate. Did not know it was illegal back then, that's how I found out about it being illegal, the hard way! :-5

Clear covers are illegal here in California, too, but it's not really enforced

unless they stop you for something else...

See 3rd post down from the start to Bill Sikes. :wah:
