I don't know what's becoming of this place anymore

I came in yesterday excited to tell everyone my new year news & instantly felt a bad vibe, i hung around less than half an hour. It seems to me that a huge amount of people here like to fight & are not happy unless thats exactly whats going on. I like too many to delete my account but have on the odd occasion left for periods of weeks to months because of the fighting.

I truly believe the one's who enjoy fighting the most are those with nothing to keep them busy in 'real life' Maybe if 'they' got out & about a bit 'they' would see how completely childish the antics in some of the threads here are. Grow up

Pom Pom and onsekitz also deleted their accounts.

I think it is a sad way to go. At least take off for awhile, and come back if you want to. That's what I do when something upsets me.

I agree with Bill and Buttercup, sad that even the happy threads, a joke thread comes to mind, got turned around to an unhappy thread...too bad we can't all just have fun and get along...

Many people enjoy a good dust-up! However, that's not to say it's a good

thing to tussle all over the Garden, rolling in sweet-scented Mignonette,

trampling the Night-Scented Stocks, bruising the Sweet William, or pulling

down the honeysuckle. Isn't there a place over there ==>, in the corner

behind the interwoven panel fence? Different scent over there, though -

good for trenching, or digging in. Yes, a bit sad. Never mind. Keep On.

It just seems to go in cycles. Lots of good stuff..then one post that strkes someone the wrong way and all he11 breaks out.

It is great to have the animated discussions and disagreements..but as I have said before, too often they turn into personal attacks...or he said/ she said.

Now..just don't make me come over there and make everyone stand in a corner!!:sneaky:

To be honest, Hammy, I do agree. If this place were just happy stuff and jokes, it would not be real, and I think we would not have as many long term active members as we do. Myself included....I would not hang around if it was a happy stuff only forum.

Well, the fighting is less. Or maybe I am not here as much anymore. I go off and write instead, more productive.

I do come here for it to be a happy place, I need the break from reality. It was always the one thing a day I would like to do for myself, have some time here.

But topics have changed on the boards lately, enough that FG is banned from my school site. So, my one morning reprieve is gone too.:-1

Um. The end result of result of public discussion of taboo subjects - censure. You

might try accessing via another (allowed!) provider (not sure that's possible, or

that such obfuscation would successfully confuse the software), or find out who

is responsible for access and persuade them to allow a personal exception for

you (may not be possible if access from work "iffy", may need exchange of beer

vouchers for the favour!).

She's left the forum. No doubt there will be clapping and rejoicing by quite a few at that news.

To the whiny faced bastards that wouldn't leave her alone since the day and hour that she joined, and , questioned every thing she posted,

...........it might be in your best interests to keep out my face.

.

That just adds to the negativity & aggression Clancy, Snooze has left several times & always come back. Everyone knows you are her friend & fiercly protective of her. I think Pinkster started this thread looking for peace not more aggression.

Oh, school computers have filters on them, I don't dare ask for it to be permitted with certain thread topics. I will just wait until I come home to post, on the nights I don't work. I enjoy my vacation time here, it is still the nicest site I have ever known.

*This* seems to be the perennial problem... a sharp exchange doesn't matter,

but harbouring and retaining resentment *does*.

I agree Pinky that is why I say out of the policital and religous tread.. I know in advance that I will get blown out of the water...so I don't post.:p

I home again feeling a bit better. I was hoping to logon and see that peace had been restored to the Garden..:( Sad but it hasn't.

So now we have 3 member gone. Oneskis, PomPom and Snooze sad day for the garden as a whole. This continued childish behavior (and I mean just that) is so unecessary on so many levels that I don't even know where to begin.

If the people insiting these arguments were working for me you all would be put on 30 day notice , and if you didn't stop ensighting the work force (FG) you would be fired.

I don't put up with this stupidity in my work force and I shouldn't have to put up with it here. Just a damn shame we all can't act like adults and let by gones, be by gones and more forward.. Nothing good ever comes out these threads that has been proven time and time again.

Why don't you save your platitudes for someone who's prepared to listen.

The "fiercly protective" remark applies to quite a few others in here, not just, Snooze

I'm sick to the back teeth of reading whiny people complain about every f'king thing I say .....If you don't like it, skip on down to what you do like, or to another thread.

If Pinky has a problem with what I wrote, no doubt, she will PM me.

....Pinks is among the few that I actually listen to. You and a few others just churn out the same speil.

I have just as much right to say what i feel as you, ive never however stooped so low as to be offensive to you. Thats perhaps the main difference between us.

At times it seems the fighting threads are all there is.The subject matter in some the titles is just not interesting.

With out singling any one out ,you can go down the list and not see much too post on.There are not alot of threads too provoke thought.

So the threads too fight in are the most accessible at times.

Not every one likes too talk about sex, booze or politics.

Or rehash old history.

If in the early threads, you will see a lot more post friendly subject matter.

Now don't get me wrong, every one has the freedom too start what ever thread they want.

But don't get upset because no one cares for it.

Now i am by no means a moral compass too look upto. But i find myself at my other forum alot more.

today we talked about the new year and what we can do in our lives too make it better, and how we might be able too get there.

And no one asked my what my fav booze was or what my sex life was like or if i think Jimmy hoffa is working at walmart.

If I pi$$ed anyone off,GOOD,lets get this place back too a place that we all came too love, where we talk TOO each other and Not about each other.

Snooze ,I will miss you,you were and will always be a piller of moral insight, and i will miss your honesty.

Someone very wise tells me, "You were given 2 ears, 2 eyes and one mouth. Listen and observe more than you speak and you will learn something new every day."

Pity no one else ever had that taught to them.

Oh thats great, so now snooze has finally left? Well I'm not surprised, she hardly got to post anymore before she got jumped on by the people who don't like her. OK, well, she is gone now so you wont have that bone to chew on. I don't (like pinky) tend to get involved in this rubbish, but I was Snooze's friend, she was my longest-standing friend here, she always looked out for me, and its very upsetting that she felt she had to delete her account. :-5

The difference with you is, very few question you. Wait till you've had that on your plate morning noon and night.

If you have something to say, can I offer a suggestion? say it to someone else who's interested , because I just lost interest.

Im surprised you should say that Clancy, i left for 4 months last year because i did have some people on my back morning, noon & night so i do know what it feels like.

The fact you are not interested in what i have to say doesent bother me at all.

It's really sad that this place has become just like the junior high girls locker room. I've quit posting so much because of it, and had some friends leave here due to it. It's sad and frustrating, that I come here looking for some fun and only find the same crap rehashed.

Unfortunatley, I and a few others have had to contend with it for much longer than four months. Members have been at one anothers throats long before I got here....

....and there still at it.

Clancy you read that wrong - I left for 4 months, i had to contend with it a lot longer than that. Guess what? me & the people involved made up through pm's. It can be done.
