I just downloaded updates, turns out its IE7, now no falling about laughing at me being on IE, im stressed out enough as it is.

So problem one, my favourites list has gone in my toolbar, i only have a bookmark button, bookmark is empty as i stored everything under 'favourites'

so i look at my google list, it shows everything ive looked at recently but not an extensive list of the stuff i had saved. Will i have to do a system restore to get back all my addresses saved in favourites?

You should have a favourites folder on your hard drive. You can search for favourites but usually they should be under your hard drive and then document and settings and then in your user.

No but i did try firefox, wont allow me to log into a chat room im a moderator of on a certain medical condition so stayed with IE mainly for that reason. At some point i hope to get round to Linux but my online time does not constitute the use for learning a whole new ball game yet, i dont adapt well to change & for the few hours a day i spend online it hardly seems worth it. Hectic schedule n all Diuretic, you know what like ;)

You can always uninstall it, go into your control panel and choose add and remove programs then wait till the program show up look for IE7 and uninstall it it will put back to your original state.

Then go to windows update and run custom updates then uncheck IE7 so it won't install again unless you want it it.
