Thought it would be interesting to try writing a poem where other members contribute lines/verses. I'll give it a start and if anyone plays we can think of a title for the poem at the end.

Withering roses and yellowed grass

All things in time must pass

Just quote this section in your reply and add the next line.

Withering Roses and Yellowed Grass, all things in time must pass.

The Petals Have Fallen, the Grass disappeared, new life is forming year by year.

Bubbling of neverending streams, a river flows throughout my dreams

One star?

Kind of like getting a penny for a tip...better to get none at all.

Scrapes and breaks, kisses and hugs

Withering Roses and Yellowed Grass,

All things in time must pass.

The Petals Have Fallen, the Grass disappeared,

New life is forming year by year.

Bubbling of neverending streams,

A river flows throughout my dreams

Memories, like water ~ cascade through my brain,

good times and tragedy, laughter and pain

Scrapes and breaks, kisses and hugs

Blonde haired children who bring mom bugs

As years go by and children grow

They leave their home with seeds to sow

Dive into the river and learn to swim

Grow their own garden of fancy and whim.

As the young plants grow, they stretch to the sun to bloom, the fragrance is delightful.

Koan, you have to fix that. I'll try again:

The young seeds are growing and blossom towards the sun!

Yeah! We're up to three stars now!!!!

Withering Roses and Yellowed Grass,

All things in time must pass.

The Petals Have Fallen, the Grass disappeared,

New life is forming year by year.

Bubbling of neverending streams,

A river flows throughout my dreams

Memories, like water ~ cascade through my brain,

good times and tragedy, laughter and pain

Scrapes and breaks, kisses and hugs

Blonde haired children who bring mom bugs

As years go by and children grow

They leave their home with seeds to sow

Dive into the river and learn to swim

Grow their own garden of fancy and whim.

The young seeds are growing and blossom towards the sun,

Trying to find something no one has done.

In a world of pressure and high expectations

They search for their niche with no hesitations.

Some are laborers, others the boss

Some tell lies and don't weigh the cost.

We watch them with concern and love

And wish for them to rise above

The troubles and hardships we knew

But from those trial we all grew.

I'm here. Just been recovering from a really bad flu. I think it was stellar. Title? My first thought was "How does your garden grow?"
