I must say the results showing that females are generally more honest than men are a bit surprising ... As you probably know - some psychologists point to the elevated levels of - let's say - *moral sense* - in the men in comparison to the women. It refers mostly to the situations where there appears a necessity of making immediate decisions, viz. - without previous thinking, pondering and analysing, or to the situations when a certain individual has to act and perform a certain task while being under a strong stress. The women are just more likely to lose a self - control and in such a situation their behaviour is controlled more by a primitive instinct - situated in less advanced parts of a brain, than by their brain's cortex. Also, I once heard that the female criminals tend to be much more cruel than male. Besides, female terrorists are considered to be the most dangerous of all. The psychiatrics that deal with the problem of psychological aspects of terrorism even claim that if there's a woman in a terrorist group, there's hardly a chance to negotiate and hardly a chance to succeed in finding a peaceful solution. And well, I'm a female and that's why I obviously do not feel comfortable while hearing such opinions, so ... Maybe it's but a male chauvinism ... (?) What do you think? Is there a consensus on what stated above?

I was surprised by the gender differences too.

My first thought was that older people would be more honest, having lived long enough to understand how important a kind gesture can be....it seems I was right!
