There's nothing I like more than a song that tells a story, especially one I can relate to so well. It's called



"Saved."

It's songs like this that gave me the power to beat drinking.

Wendy, thank you so much for sharing your story with me. It does give me hope for some of the women I know who have lived through just what you describe. It's really good to know it is possible.

It takes an awful lot of love and trust and letting go of past experiences but if you are willing to try and you have the right man then it is worth it.



There are a lot of bumps in the road but if you just have faith in yourself (which has normally been battered out of you) you can go on to be a real person, a person that you can be proud of.



I am lucky. I met a man who loves me for who I am and not what I am. I wish this could happen to all the other women who have managed to survive abuse.

Ah, I don't know how well I was missed, but I now my husband saved my life, so that made the whole fight worthwhile.
