I am locked into American Dreams

This show is set in the era when I was becoming aware of television and music and had no idea what VietNam was or American Bandstand or the Civil Rights Movement or the assassination of JFK.......but when I watch the program now, it all comes back to me because my family were all locked into those early days of television bringing all the horror into the living room.

I also enjoy:

Law and Order - all of them

CSI - all of them but I prefer the Vegas one over the others

Crossing Jordan- because she is so quirky

Joan of Arcadia because the kids are all real in the high school instead of Kens and Barbies.

Reality Shows: The only ones I watch are Survivor and Amazing Race.... and the Apprentice. Amazing Race is awful this time around with the worst cast of characters giving Americans a terrible reputation everywhere they go. I live each week to see one particularly gruesome guy meet his maker....but it never happens....yet!

Over here it has to be Emerdale and Corrie, followed by the Bill, Royal, never mind the buzzcocks, News @ 10. Oh and EastEnders and the Match-Live

I LIVE for Tuesday nights and NYPD Blue. I'll be sad to see it go, but this being the last season, it's going to be a good one!!!

24 has 2 be the most entertaining show on tv at the moment, the simpsons kicks ass and always has done, and i dont like to admit it but i have been watching desperate housewives, but 24 tops em all!

'24' is indeed a terrific series, although there are times it strays into sci-fi hard-to-suspend-disbelief territory. on the other hand, there's 'alias', which vaccilates between fantasy/comic book and hard-boiled thriller half a dozen times in any given single episode!

i'm a longtime addict of 'ER', love 'boston legal', though i very much liked its temp fill-in this past week of 'grey's anatomy'.



survivor, of course, is the ultimate guilty pleasure. 'yeah, see, i think if there's a tie vote, ib will vote against james, cuz james has been pretty in-your-face, and i sure hope stephenie doesn't get voted off, i really like her, great competitor, and what's up with bobby-jon looking like jesus-reincarnate?'

I vacillate between Emergency Ward Ten and Doctor Kildare. Richard Chamberlain just has this thing, you know?

I'm not sure I've seen any recent US primetime material but I may be wrong. Was Firefly primetime? That was shiny.

I am kind of liking the new one on SciFi, Eureka.

There is a new show starting this fall, Jericho, which looks might interesting.

I have to say "Grey's Anatomy"! The character ensemble is great. It is kind of like "Seinfeld". It would be hard to duplicate that again...You just have to get the right actors in a group...

Tater, of your list, I really like these. My husband and I watch Mythbusters every week.

I also like COLD CASE... I can't believe I left that off!

But we also are die hard fans of How this is made and Dirty Jobs on Discovery I believe or is it A&E?
