And they think America is ignorant!!

I've been seeing photos of Chinese officials bloodying dogs. It's repugnant and only reinforces the supposed stereotypes of China.

Any idiot knows a simple vaccination will protect a dog against rabies- rather than demand dogs over 14 inches or "surplus" dogs be taken (and let's face it, killed; I've been discussing this elsewhere all week), why don't they use some intelligence and demand that every pet owner vaccinate their dogs?!

All this does is give decent people more cause to loathe China's overall ignorance and callousness about and to animals.

I can't understand why they would think taking peoples' dogs is easier than vaccinating them! If they are going door to door to get the dogs, why not go door to door and give vaccines? No one would be hiding them if they weren't in fear for their pets' lives. This makes absolutely no sense to me:mad:

The method they are using isn't going to work though. People are finding ways to hide their dogs. A rabies vaccine can be purchased in the USA for less than a dollar if purchased in big packaging, which they would if they were vaccinating all those dogs. I still don't think it makes sense:confused: A bullet costs something, isn't that what they are doing, shooting them?:-1
