A million dollar rare Stamp was mailed in a Florida absentee ballot. I am almost tempted to post this in the conspiracy theory thread, as my cynical side of me is telling me that something is suspicious about it coincidentally "not having a return address". I can't believe it...some speculate that even with it being mailed, it may still be worth up to $500,000.

An inverted Jenny! And then they say, "It's now the government's..........."

Someone probably with poor eyesight or something mailed it by mistake. They should try to find the owner.

Find the owner...ha..yeah right.

That $500,000 will go into the Mayors pocket.

I just don't buy the "No return address" thing...

Wouldn't you make it very apparent where the ballot came from considering it was an absentee ballot and the address would be essential in knowing where that person was from in order to have it be accepted as a vote?

??

The even more cynical side of me wonders if they don't actually purposely create such "rare" situations so as to make more money in the long run...

If I made stamps,..I would make rare ones just to have people re-buy them for millions 50 years later...sure, why not? Nothing wrong with a little million dollar retirement policy.

MIAMI (Reuters) - A stamp that first appeared to be a rare 1918 "Inverted Jenny," used by a Florida voter to mail an absentee ballot, is a counterfeit, experts said on Monday.
