They are inducing her a month early because the baby has a heart defect and its less than 4 pounds and NOT growing. I need all the prayers I can get her. We dont know what the survival rate is at this point.:-1

She is in total shock. She said she cried at her appointment this morning. SHe is all "teared out". One of my sisters is in there with her and the other (who is actually a labor and delivery nurse) is going by after school.

Good thing my dad is in the hospital across the street (he had his 3rd heart attack this weekend!) so my sisters can run back and forth for both of them!

Helluva Day! And my husband and I are leaving today to go to Kentucky.

We are visiting his parents and brother. We are supposed to leave tonight but we will see. I might need to go home to Georgia.

May everything go well for your whole family DG (you included).

Once baby is born they'll be able to give it the best possible treatment.

Our son was 3# 2oz. when he came 7 weeks early. He was one of the bigger babies in the neonatal ICU. It's amazing what they can do these days. My thoughts and prayers are with the baby, your sister, and you and your whole family. :-6

Soooooo much has happened but Ive been away from a computer. Ok, she was born and weighed 4lbs and 15 oz. She was fine. Well that night her heart rate plunged and she was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Her heart wasnt firing and would stop beating. The next morning she had a pacemaker put in. She was doing fine again until last night she had a "setback". I havent heard any news yet from my other sister, we will see...

I've got everything crossed here....good wishes flying your way for you and your family.

On the phone with sis right now. Its bad. THe baby wasnt getting the right medecine levels and declines last night. They also found a tear in her intestines and put a bag on her. The heart wasnt compressing all the way so they had to do manual com pressions (CPR) for nine minutes or more. They wont know for a while if there is any brain damage. She is back in CICU. Its touch and go right now. The father has completely lost and needs strength from somwhere. Please, pray for her and send beams her way. No one deserves this. I appreciate all your prayers. I am going to church later to light a candle for them.

IM ok. Im very worried about her. She doesnt deserve this, she has been through so much in her life. It isnt fair to her. Im going by church later to say a prayer and have sent emails to everyone I know for a prayer request. The parents really need to find some strength somewhere. The father (an old friend of mine from high school) has almost completely lost it. He is in so much pain and distress I fear for his health. They are such wonderful people. I just want them to get through this and the baby to be ok.:-1

She had a good say yesterday and good so far today. Father has even been looking a little better according to my reporter! The prayers are working!

She will be OK medicine today is amazing and the advancements in Pediatrics is nothing short of miracles. :-6 She is in my prayers daily.:-4

Thanks everyone for all your prayers. Baby Eva went home on Saturday. She is doing really well. Someone even bought her a defribullator for the house! It was around 5-7K! What a great gift! Another lady wrote her a check for 5K! She has some wonderful friends. Everything is coming along nicely and I just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers. Thanks again!
