Oh no, middle names only guppy, its better to retain a sense of mystery, and it also wise not to reveal too much of yourself I think. I do have another name though, a confirmation name (I'm a catholic), mine is Michael.

Wayne.

It means Wagon maker or wagon repair guy .... basically grease monkey, in today's terms.

My father started calling me by that name when he found his new religion. He said my first name was far too proud.

Call me Accountable for my own pride and humility ... both well-earned and well-deserved.

I think "wayne", must be a corruption of the word "wain" which means a wagon or chariot in old English usage, in Europe they call the constellation of Ursa Major (which we call "the plough" and is the "big dipper" in the U.S.) "The Charles Wain", or Charles' Wagon, after Charlemange from the 9th century. There you go, another little bit of useful information for you. :)

you are being pessimitic, you could say that you are named after one of the great figures of European history from the 9th century who founded the Holy Roman Empire (sort of), or you could of course say you are a big dipper if you like, a motor mechanic, or even a great bear, as thats what Ursa Major means. Its all about perception.

I'm not sure, but there are place name in England that end in Lynn, like "Kings Lynn", which I think is in East Anglia somehwere, so perhaps it is from old anglo saxon or danish or even norse. I think names are fascinating, for instance, my name in Gaelic (from which it is derived via English) means "Townland of the Foreigners", and there are gravestones from the 13th century near where I live which name 2 brothers who lived and died here and had my unusual name, so its likely they are my very distant ancestors.

It would make sense that perhaps Kings Lynn is very old then, as of course the Ancient Britons were also Celts and some of their names survive so perhaps it was originally Ri go Lynn, which would be kinda "King who comes from the lake" arthurian a little don't you think?, they say that myth is far older than the middle ages and may come down from prehistory in Britain and Ireland.

Anywhere where you see the Gal, or Gaul, or Gael sound, there is a celtic influence, like say Galicia in Northern Spain.

Actually I just though of something else, Dublin is called "Bhaile Atha Cliath" in Irish (yes its a completely different language people), but the term "Dublin" comes from a corruption of another Irish name from the place which is Dubh Linn, or Black Pool, so really Dublin could be called Blackpool, but there you go, Linn-, Lynn-, = Pool or Water. Langaue is so interesting.
