Great idea!!! I think we should do that here. That would take "traffic calming" to its ultimate end. Where could you go from there?

Its sad and tacky in my eyes that something could come to this.

Sad being because this is what people think is needed in order to get people to drive more safely,...

and

tacky because....well, its a big heap of metal sitting on the side of a street.

I've always been a responsible driver, though my driving record may not justify that, I learned at a young age how unpredictable cars can be. After watching the news last night I had seen yet another wreck about someone taking a turn way too fast, slid off the road, over a guard rail and landing upside down. The man screamed for help, and I believe was later reported of being in serious condition at the local hospital. At the age of 15 I had been almost in the exact same type of accident, and it had brought back memories followed by anxiety and questions. It was then that I had seen them towing the car from the creek/ditch that I had noticed the car didn't look nearly as bad as the car I was in. It rather looked like it was only in a "finder binder". Then it hit me. I thought "How did we not die in that car". Every time I see a car that wrecked in a similar situation as the one I had been in and see that the car was nowhere near as bad as the one I was in only to find out someone was seriously injured, or even killed, I get really crazy. I can't even describe the feeling.....Sometimes I wonder if this has played a role in my subconscious keeping me from being irresponsible behind the wheel. I think it does sometimes.

or I was just lucky as hell. :wah:
