Okay, I'll say it. Since I was gone and I know I didn't have anything to do with it. What happened? It's surprising to me.

She pushed the limit a lot. Must have pushed a little too hard. Too bad.

I never had the opportunity to meet LadyCop in the Garden.

I always admired her honesty and balls, though :guitarist

LC and I either completely agreed, or totally disagreed with each other. There was no middle ground with us. Now I am going to tread on thin ice here. Why is it she is considered "ballsy" while others would have been considered as bashers or crap stirrers for saying and doing the same things? It's just something I could never quite figure out.

Peg :)

I hear what you are saying

I think all characteristics have their 'heads' and 'tails'. Ballsy to some people may mean basher and crap stirrers to other people.

And often the same person can be either one, given the situation.

She just struck me as passionate about the things she cared about. But that's just my opinion. :-6

In many ways, LC was FG, Just as BabyRider (they were/are great friends). She's left a deep impact here.

I miss LC too. She had a very British sense of humour. The garden was a better place with her in it for sure, but for my money, she didn't post enough :D

It's a shame that in her case, a ban can't be a time-out.

Lol @ Nomad and Acc! :wah:

It's the same thing Nomad, we used to call it Pre Menstrual Stress too, but the media have p.c.-ed the expression into Pre Menstrual Tension! It makes no difference - we're still grumpy and miserable and if I had a gun I'm damn sure I'd shoot someone too! :wah:

LadyCop was the first friend I found in ForumGarden, and we remain friends. I am very sorry she is no longer here. She's has however fallen happily on her feet elsewhere and in my opinion it's FG's loss. Hopefully BabyRider will be back in our midst soon.

The absence of these two and the apparent quarantining and sanitising of a number of other live wires at a time when we were flooded with new people (and I am referring only to genuine aspiring members) meant that we lost what I thought anyway was the special character of this Forum, what attracted me in the first place.

Who knows? Life goes on, in one form / forum or another. The Forum Garden seems to be starting to blossom again and get its bounce back.

I knew it. FG has been "cleansing"

Theyre looking for a pure race of gardeners.

Someone should report this to the authorities.

That's why I'm back. My purity is what this place needs. Just do what I do and say what I say and everything will be just fine.:sneaky:

The garden has changed. It feels very different and I'm beginning to see why. Lady Cop, Baby Rider, Far Ryder, Jives, Captain Buzzard and a bunch of others brought a flavor here that was special. I have to say though that the flavor isn't bad now. It's just different.

Groups of people are like soup. You can change the flavor of an entire pot by adding one ingredient.

That's an excellent point, Clint :)

I think we've got many distinct personalities here in the Garden

and it is everchanging

which keeps it from getting stagnant :guitarist

after seeing this thread i felt i wanted to comment...i know lady cop very well. she has been told about all the kind posts here and is very grateful for the nice thoughts, especially after having been gone for months now. :) she also says she takes full responsibility for being banned, she had been warned about being abrasive and confrontational and even rude sometimes. she has an aggressive personality, i suppose because of her work. when her 'BS detector' went off it was 99% right. however, she also is proud of the amber alert forum she started here, bothwell's pub, and of knowing she helped a lot of people behind the scenes. out of over 13,000 posts most were friendly or helpful or concentrated on crime. or history. or literature. she made some good friends here, and is in touch with many of them. anyway, without belaboring it, she says a heartfelt thanks for remembering. :yh_flower

Portia :)

Thank you for your wonderful post. It's nice to hear her thoughts again . . . even if they are expressed indirectly.

Please let her know that I think she's *one of a kind* and I admire her directness, honesty and, of course, BALLS.

She's aces in my book :-6
