Every now and then I take for granted where we live. Usually when I do, something or someone snaps me back to reality. :)

I went to my daughter's cross-country track meet yesterday. The meet was a few miles from our house at Round Lake in Idaho. I couldn't have imagined a more glorious place to run and be with friends.

Closest I've been is Washington State. Awesome altogether. You've inspired me, Tombstone, to come and explore!!!! Thank you.

Beautiful photos Tombstone. I'd love to live somewhere with views like that.

How did you do daughter do in the meet. I remember cross country with awful memories of early mornings and LOOOONNNNNGGG runs. :wah: But then again I was never that great at long distant running or sprinting.

Thanks everyone!

Sheryl, she ended up in the top 1/3. Not too bad for someone who has never done this before and has only been running cross country for 3 weeks. To be young again. :p

That is great. If she's just starting and doing that great, just think how awesome she'll be doing later in the season. :-6

Looks like home to me too. How come Oregon isn't on this list of places in the NW thread? ;)

Your daughter has a great place to meet. And Yes! You all come on out. It IS peaceful here.
