Hi Gang!

As a lot of you know, I work part-time at home with my attorney hubby. For years I have concurrently been a medical assistant. I worked for five years for a podiatrist, but we had a falling out in June and I left his practice. He was a yeller and a screamer, and I had decided that I'd had enough of that.

I took July and August off from medical office work; I just worked for the hubby. I decided that when Labor Day weekend came, I would get my medical resume together and start looking for a part-time job in that arena.

I had my first interview yesterday and . . . they just called me with a job offer! I'm really excited: I'll be working with five oral surgeons assisting with the patient care. I'll be in their office on Thursdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This will give me plenty of time to continue helping my husband with his practice.

YEAH!! The office manager told me my personality got me the job.

So . . . wish Cher luck! I start this week :-6

These doctors specialize in root canals and implants -- in fact, I am going to them now for my 3rd implant and that's how I heard about the job.

I missed this too, before. So pleased for you Cher!! And they've got themselves a real treasure!!!

Well guys . . . the job did not work out, but I feel fine about it:) . You see, I had to stand on my feet for 10 hours straight assisting dental surgeons. But the end of the two days I worked, I was in agony. I can sit and walk fine, but standing up and not moving was a killer for me.

It was the *first* time in my life that I've truly felt the limitations of my bad back. That kinda sucked. But . . . all is for the best, as for the near future I'm going to keep working with my husband. We're pretty busy now and we'll see what happens down the road.

I look forward to *not* having to shovel out my car to get to work in February! :rolleyes:
