The Simpsons are brilliant, so is Friends
The Office, and Ricky Gervais' follow up Extras
Blackadder, another classic
That's just for starters...
my parents used to have some of Bob Newhart's records and I grew up knowing Driving School and the one in the submarine, almost by heart. He is so funny.

then you're going to love this.
in the works right now is a movie version of Greatest American Hero. the dude(not the blonde guy, but his "boss"?) and the chick are signed to have at least a cameo but possibly more.
the fella that is developing the script is a HUGE fan of the show. apparently when the studio, WB i think, had a brainstorming meeting this past spring for possible movie ideas this guy showed up in FULL costume. the actual costume from the show and pitched the idea. he's a staff writer and i guess only writes once in a while for Conan and occasionally for Leno.
He actually crashed the exec's meeting to pitch the idea.
from what i can gather, he is writing the script and screenplay now.

Yes, Wolvie...and Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie etc. etc. So, so funny.
If you can, watch the series where they are in the trenches during the war...the end of the very last episode where they all have to "go over the top" is one of the most moving scenes I have ever seen...brings tears to my eyes even writing about it.

I hadn't heard about that. That is so cool. Thank you.
I'd love to hear Bill Maxwell (Robert Culp) go into one of his "tirades" about The Little Green Guys. And unfortunately I can't remember how the relationship between Bill and Ralph (the blonde guy) ended up. It seems to me Ralph ended up as sort of an unofficial consultant for the FBI, with Bill as his liason.
Connie Sellecca is going to be a part of this (cameo or otherwise) too? Cool. Maybe they can talk Faye Grant into doing something too.

And me, it was really touchingly well done. Just showed the futility of it all. Blackadder has to be one of my favourites, except for the first series, that was really crappy.

Hi there, just adding my fav tv shows.
I love Sky One because they seem to have so many good series from America. I love Nip/Tuck, Supernatural (those guys are hot!), Angel & Buffy. I also loved, when I was younger, things like Dad's Army and the Morecombe & Wise Shows. My absolute favourite was American Gothic which I now have on DVD. It's a shame the Americans couldn't handle its darkness because it had such a terrific character in Sheriff Lucas Black, played by the devilishly handsome Gary Cole.
