My brother Jeff is an accomplished artist. Hes doing wildlife mainly birds now but he does many other cool things including painting, free form art, paper art (he did a 3 dimensional eagle Ill try to find a pic of....way cool !) hes done some sculpting. Hes usually out in the woods somewhere.

I really like the one with the geese landing on the water...................

He does much more but he thinks hes supposed to stay in one medium or he wont sell so hes not showing all the other wonderful things hes doing

I love it, Nomad! That concept in the big race, what an unusual idea how to present....he's a thinker.

The birds watching sitting on the lines......*giggle*....racing on tracks in a bridge....Fabulous!!! He writes extremely well too.

A 3-D eagle...bring it on.

I love photos that capture the moment, especially in nature.


A camera with rapid repeat shuttering is used for this effect, but it still requires an artist to capture and present the photograph in the way Jeff has. You'll notice that Angelica posted a slightly different picture of the hen.

The curve of the wing and the pattern created by the individual feathers is stunning, eh.:-6

So was my Dad...with a little sketchpad...didn't know he did that all my life.

After he passed, found his artwork in his bureau tucked away...awesome...

Did you read the comment that Jeff wrote under the pic of the mallard hen in the first link on Nomad's OP? This tells you a lot about Jeff's motivation I think.

I'm so glad you included this thread here in this Forum...so very enjoyable...
