Hello Hamster....
My Name is Shelleybelle73....
I think I know what your talking about...
During my life... I have met various guys, and when I was younger I used to go to college with this guy called Nick, I was instantly attracted to his sense of humour, his flirty manner and overall vunerablity... We did all the same courses together and all our college friends that were in the same classes, used to say "God, you two make an excellent couple", even the teacher used to say we should go out together..
The chemistry between us was electric, you could hear it sizzle in the air
We remained friends for a long time, we had cute nicknames for each other and I always dreamt about dating him, there came a time that we went out alone together and even ended up discussing the posibility of dating, but we both came to a conclusion that it may possibly spoil the friendship that we had and we agreed to leave well "ALONE"
Over a period of time, his mate dated my mate and then they had a baby, and over time we all drifted apart once we left college and got jobs... I was kinda gutted cus I missed the laughs we had...
Obviously, this was a long time ago, and occaisionally he pops into my mind, and I get all nostagic over him, thinking about the chemistry we once had..
Funnily enough, about 2 christmas's ago, me and my "then" boyfriend went to get a xmas tree from a well known DIY store, and I needed help with a Christmas Tree, the assistant said she'd get the manager to help me...
and guess who came out to help me....
YUP!!! it was Nick!!!
Even though it had been years since we had last seen each other, its was truly magical.... the chemistry was still there, he went bright red when he saw me... and we instantly started chatting about old times and what we were upto.... I truly did not want to leave the store, I felt there was this giant magnet in between us stopping me from walking away...
as we drove away from the store I felt like crying... :-1 I have no idea why, but I just felt so emotional about the whole situation...:-3 I just wanted to go back to the store.... even days later I had the urge to ring the store up and ask for him... but thought better of it...
I dont know why I have this feeling for him, it makes no sense at all in my eyes... but I still feel the same way.
I have another story, which is similiar but ended up horrendously, so I aint going there.... best left in the most furthest recess of my memories
Thank you for a Great Post!!!

There is a person who comes into my life periodically and then seems to leave again... He is in no way "Mr Right" and my intellect knows that but somehow the rest of me seems to forget that. Logic, reasoning and everything just seem to leave as soon as he shows up!!
Have you ever met someone with whom the "Chemistry" is just amazing? Does all sense of logic and reason disappear when you are around this person?? You know...where time stands still and you can't seem you think of anything else??
:-5
:-2 Hammie I have absolutely NO idea what on earth you are talking about.

Chemistry!
What a powerful thing! I love it. I experience it all the time. And usually it is with people that I am not meant to be with.
It's funny how you can experience chemistry without being in the presence of a person.
Years ago, I had a pen pal who was in the Navy, stationed in Adak, Alaska. I ahd sent Christmas cards to the address given in Dear Abby. I started getting letters from the bunkmate of the guy who recieved my card. he confessed that he had stolen it from him. we ended up exchanging letters and even talking on the phone for hours (Tennessee to Alaska, not cheap) When he got leave, he came to see me! (He was from Oaklahomma, drove 500 miles to see me). It was magical!
He returned to Adak and ended up getting discharged after seperating his shoulder. I went to see him in Oaklahomma. It was nice, but the magic was gone. He was emotionally damamged after getting the boot from the Navy.
He is married now with a daughter, we still keep in touch. But I will never forget the summer my sailor came for me! i felt like I was in a movie!

I've experienced it in both the positive and negative ways. (Twice I've met people I instantly disliked....and in both cases, it turned out to be justified.) The "HOT" kind is more fun, isn't it?
Truth is, I think a LOT of it is pheromones!

it's a guy I felt connected to before we ever even met, nothing like that had ever happened to me before. :-3
I've wondered if it's some past life connection thing too...

Sigh.. this is something that i have been dealing with for a long time... I love the feeling, except when you can't have the person. I dated someone a long time ago, i had wanted to get close to him for a long time before we actually dated, but he had a girl friend. Their relationship was over a few years after we all met and one night after some hardcore partying we kinda started 'talking'. Standing next to him my tummy would get crazy, hearing his voice would make me all hot and bothered. We had so much in common, we were great in bed together but things just kinda went weird when he started doing a certain drug. I ended up calling him and telling him he obviously was dating someone else(a skank of course) and that he couldn't have his 'kate & edith' too. We remained friends, and sometimes well, ya know booty calls.. His ex was another factor that got in our way, or in my way. She and he i think still had their own chemistry, but he had remained to be my "one that got away" I still have deep feelings for him, and probly always will. I looked him up a few years ago, and we met for lunhc one day, the same damn feelings were there. He went on to tell me that he never rememberd us breaking up, he said he woke up one day and realized i hadn't been around. This was about 2 years after we broke up. Meth will mess up your world, it did his and im glad he kicked the habbit. There is so much i could say on this but i will just leave it at this. I tend to ramble alot

Oh I think there can be *great* chemistry in marriage!
I've been married for 5 1/2 years and I'm still *fiercely* attracted to my husband. I'm always saying suggestive things to him about what we're gonna do later . . . :sneaky:
too much information again? :-3

Hey Pinks --
I went through a mediocre first marriage and several single years between #1 and #2. It taught me to appreciate what I've found. And to let my husband know how much I appreciate him.
