Just having a look around. Perhaps someone can explain a few things
(providing links to the appropriate threads where undoubtedly, numerous new members have already asked these questions millions of times is an acceptable form of 'explanation')
Rating of members?
FRIENDS? < I specifically read that Trinity has no friends. Now, I'm not usually the most popular girl at the dance, but I DO have a few friends. Even a few here.

G'day Trinity!

YOU aren't usually the most popular girl at the dance ...now why did I have this image of you as the typical prom queen? :p

More like "Carrie"
You failed to link me to the numerous explanatory threads, and/or patiently explain all the details. Undoubtedly you are waiting to whisper them into my ear while we dance.

I didn't fail... I just couldn't be bothered :wah: yeah, something like the latter... shall we?

There is a fine line, between failing, and failing to try. Very well, you may sign my dance card... repeatedly please.
PS: Do people welcome others here, or are you two the only one's with manners? I did notice some other welcome threads which seems to be full of insults. Tell me, what's the native protocol? Do I randomly insult random people in order to gain a welcome post?
Do you know, I met this one guy, we'll call him BILL. He stayed in his welcome thread for an entire year, until every member thoroughly and repeatedly welcomed him. If I'm to do that, I'll need to decorate this place.
Is there a skin selector?

Cheers for the welcomes. I've spent the evening reading through various old threads, and now I find myself exhausted. I'm off to get some kip. No doubt you will all manage without me for a few hours.

Gather round, everyone, I'd like to introduce lots of you to a friend of mine called Trinity. Once upon a time she was the first person to greet me when I went travelling around other corners of the internet, she did it with great kindness and she's always held my hand when I've embarrassed myself in those parts since.
This really is a case of two boards colliding by accident. I'd spent months wearing two hats to avoid cross-contaminating them, and then a big dumb swede that I never knew existed triggers off an event like this. The world's a strange place. I do hope I get a chance to thank him, it'll be awful if he doesn't come back here.

It seems to me you are a woman. Shew! I had an ex named Trinity and I started to get worried, until you used the words "perhaps" and "exhausted". He was a big dumb redneck. Then I saw you were female so Im safe!:D

They'll get here! You know my mom reffered me to this forum, and she doesn't seem to be posting mcuh lately.....she is a member of other forums too, but I feel she might be neglecting this one....or she might be posting in threads that require some political smarts and intellict....which is not me. I seems to be rambling!
hmmm..is there a skin section?

Since I have only ever been nice to one person in my entire life, I'm certain that I know you (not in the Biblical sense, more's the pity) . I admit to being pleasantly surprised, I had no idea you were here.
Silly Rabbit wrote: I like you too Trin, as does my burro, Pedro!
*strokes the rabbit* How delightful.. seems the gang IS all here. Why, I almost feel at home already.
Designergal wrote: Then I saw you were female so Im safe!
Yes, I am a woman. This, however is no indication of your safety. I've been needing a new stalkee for quite some time.
ArnoldLayne wrote: Its best not to dally in the few flaming threads we have. Much better you cast your net a little wider. Spot will tell you, I'm sure, that this place is full of interesting places and interesting people.
Allow me to put your mind at ease. I am by no means, a flamer. I am a writer, and a really bad poet, a closet gaming geek, and many times, an over-opinionated... bitch... for lack of a better word. I can certainly trade insults with the best if necessary, but it isn't my pass time.

Yes luv, threads can be rated using the thread rating tool at top of the first post. What I'm referring to is the same tool, located in the member's profile. It's a feature that I've yet to come across.
MoreThanALover wrote: hmmm..is there a skin section?
Selector. A skin selector. A tool (usually located in the user control panel, or at the bottom of the forum) which provides a drop down menu, with several skin choices for the members viewing pleasure. However, in my explorations, I haven't come across one, therefore I gather that there isn't one.

Cheers.

Anybody see Trinity, lately? I've got a few answers for her... :rolleyes:She's being quiet, not usual that. You're right about it being so disconcerting, seeing old friends mix from different backgrounds, it's something I associate more with parties.
Here, this was playing on my system a few minutes ago, it sort of fits the moment and goes with your name. From one of the Bonzo Dog CDs, "Big Shot", the track with the wild saxophone solo...
I am the Big Shot.
You heard me right the first time. Name of Batchelor Johnny Cool, occupation Big Shot, occupation at the moment: just having fun.
What a party that was - the drinks were loaded and so were the dolls. I narrowed my eyes and poured a stiff Manhattan. Then I saw Hotsie. What a dame. A big, bountiful babe in the region of 48-23-38. One hell of a region. She had the hottest lips since Hiroshima, I had to stand back for fear of being burned. Whiskey wow wow, I breathed. She was dressed as Biffo the Bear. In that kind of outfit she could get rolled at night... and I don't mean on a crap table. It's kind of revealing, isn't it? Revealing? It's positively risqué - I like it.
She said: "You're a man with a thousand Gs, right?"
"A thousand what?" I quipped.
"Why, G-men, girls, guns, guts. You're my type."
"Wrong, baby" I slapped her hard. "I'm a L man, strictly liquor, love and laughs."
She stared over my shoulder: "Play it cool, Johnny." Play it what? I flipped. "Listen, I fought my way up from tough East Side New York. Lead-filled saps and sub-machine guns, like this." [gunshots]
She said: "Johnny, this is a deadly game, have a few laughs and go home." I shuddered. Normally I pack a rod in pyjamas I carry nothing but scars from Normandy beach. I said "Wrong, baby, you can't fool me."
She spat playfully. "I'm ahead of you, Johnny." I studied the swell of her enormous boobs and said: "Baby, you're so far ahead it's beautiful."
"You, you are, you're... eccentric, I like that, électrique Chéri, banque off ma roquette, tu comprends?" We spoke French fluently. Our lips met again and again. "Yeah, yeah yeah" I slobbered. Hotsie said: "You're slobbering all over the seat, kid."
I went home late. Very late. What could I say to my wife? "Darling, I've been beaten up again"? Let's face it: she's credulous as hell.
A punk stopped me on the street. He said "Have you got a light Mac?"
I said: "No, but I've got a dark brown overcoat."
