A new martial arts sensation that should be making his debut to the states real soon, is a Muay Thai fighter named Tony Jaa, if you ever saw Ong Bak you'll know who he is. Unlike Jet Li, or Chow Yun Fat, all of Jaas stunts are performed without any wire work, mechanical or technical assistance. This kid is the real deal, America he should be debuting a movie of his called the protector but I can promise you this, seeing him in action is kinda like watching a classic martial arts film.

I for one don't want to see this kids career dragged down the drain by doing crappy American films that won't get a lot of attention because of the low appreciation for martial arts in the states, not to mention that action films are also losing a lot of luster in place for flashy CGI visuals and topless women. I will challenge any opinion with my ginormous IQ of 42.

The name sounds familiar atleast.

If it's the same guy, I would have to say I was impressed with his moves. Even though I'm not usually into martial art films.

I was really impressed with Tony Jaa in Ong Bak. I love Bruce Lee, Jet Lit etc but this guy's style of fighting leave the rest behind. His leap through barb wire and over cars without the aid of stunt doubles and wires is a refreshing change. Hopefully his career won't get taken over by Hollywood and he will reign supreme!

I went and saw "The Protector" because I loved the short of Tony Jaa that is one Youtube.

While I admit that he is fabulous and most of the fight scenes are awesome - I wouldn't go see that movie again if you paid me to go.

It kind of reminded me of a porno movie - the plot was thin, the acting not so good and any excuse was good enough for a fight.

Oh, and in the fight scene at the end - the first 40 broken arms were entertaining - the next 100 (or at least it seemed like that many) were redundant.
