What was the last thing that happened to you that just came out of the blue, without warning? Was it pleasant? or awful?

Interesting question! I met my "boy toy, John." Right out of the blue. Never saw it coming. It was, and has been, wonderful....for a year & a half!

Funny you should ask that right now Papaboo. I don't usually get personal in here, but I have just spent nearly two months at my daughter's bedside as she was desperately ill in hospital. It was totally awful. BUT thanks to the awesome care of the doctors, she got well, hallelujah, and was discharged two weeks ago. And slowly, I started to get my life cautiously back together a bit. Then in the course of a normal yearly checkup last week, my gyno found a large tumor in my uterus and suspected secondaries following breast cancer I'd had eight years ago. Over the last seven days I've had every test imaginable. Today I got the results. I don't have ovarian cancer. I'm a complete teary wreck, but happy beyond measure. The unbearable lightness of being. I'm alive !!!!!! And with a bit of luck may stay that way for a while longer.
I know I haven't been much fun lately - Galbally noticed.. grin.. but hopefully normal abnormality will be resumed soon. I'm thinking heading off into the mountains for a few days.

My mother died of cancer on June 4th. It is the most wretched thing that's ever happened to me.

At the ripe old age of 25, you got i.d.'d for beer which you have to be 21 to buy in Ohio. This is bad how?:wah:

Bad because i couldnt get the beer....
I should have worded that more clearly, i suppose.
I lost my i.d. as in couldnt find it, as opposed to it getting taken away by the police...
..if anything i wish people could be more confident in the fact that i am obviously old enough to buy beer.
