Jr Minks and I headed to BC for 4 days of biking and hiking and white water rafting
these first pictures are of Sinclair Creek on the west side of the town of Radium, the river slowly turned into those facinating wetlands where the lilypads floated all over the surface of the creek.

We headed south to Fairmont and these are a few shots of "Hoodoos" these strange rock formations are just caused by the wind and rivulets when the rain falls. Oh and deer.

first pic is a road side stop where we had a picnic lunch, that is my car and our bikes
our next and final stop is the town of Golden, and our hotel, and a shot from our hotel over the smoke filled valley, this smoke was a result of the fires burning in Washington State.
Last pic here is the Kickinghorse River, this is the jump off point at the end of our Raft trip. It was beautiful to come upon from the River, I have raft pics to come likely next week, I have to wait for them to be mailed to me.

I did not take my camera on the trip as I had no water proof case so could only take a couple shots of the boats themselves these ones are like ours but not exact ours were bright red

I see in one of your pics Minks it looks like they're selling "estate lots". It would be a shame to see that lovely wilderness under housing but I suppose people have to live somewhere.....
Yep Di it breaks my heart as well. The sad thing is the majority of the land out there is Indian Reservation sooooooo they have become quite interested in selling off parcels of their land, very little of it is National Park

sad sad sad, as well there is many golf courses through that Valley as well.

Here you go a shameless plug or 2, the first link is the rafting company, their video gives you a good preview of what we experienced
Second it an overall view of the entire valley in which we spend many hours in ever year.
