Welcome Marykate I.m still a newbie on this site but everyone seems very nice so don't be shy:yh_star

I am so humbled by all of your welcoming posts and embarrassed as hell 'cause I have waited so long to come over here to your garden.

I have not much of an excuse , except being old as dirt I out Pam's email in a folder and forgot it. Sorry, Pam my love.

Now to the good part, I'm old. I have 2 daughters who both are brilliant and beautiful. I have a husband and if this marriage can last until Sept. 2nd, we will celebrate our 57th anniversary. Because of his cheapness, I will, probably, buy myself an incredibly gaudy gift. Something that glitters.:-4

We, Ben and I, have 3 grandchildren (Cassie - 38yrs-5 children)(Adam - 36yrs-1 child)(Lucas - 20-Sophomore Kansas State). Our great-grandchildren are...(Cassie's) Sydney 13, Jack 11, Catherine 9, Hunter 3, and our little Sophie 5 months. (Adam's) Nathan 4. Jeez, nothing like starting a dynasty!

OK, here goes......... I'm a liberal leaning Democrat in a state awash in Red. I enjoy politics, but not only that, I believe everyone should be involved, interested, and knowledegabe about our 3 branches of our government. I am against the Iraq war........I support the troops there. I am for bringing them home PDQ. However, I was/am a supporter of the war in Afghanistan.....although, my friend Jane's son just began his second tour of duty there. That a bit much.

Thank all of you for your warm welcomes, and your kind invitations to join The Garden Club and I do look forward to playing with y'all.
