we're a diverse lot, and everyone has their own traditions. by region, by family, by nationality of our antecedents , by religion or lack thereof, but the national sport in december appears to be the shopping orgy. some have a reverential attitude and some more secular. i personally work on the holiday. :)

Well.. since my daughter is grown up.. not much really.. open gifts in the morning.. then a fine day at the slopes before all the tourists get here, a nice relaxing dinner and cocktails with close friends and family...

And let's not forget:

Christmas music, decorations, candles, long evenings, cold nights, parties, games, and shopping.
