Nooooo not the rockford files

Here is a few pics I snapped off this past weekend while in the mountains Saturday riding bikes and hanging out at the river cooling off from the 33C temps.

1) Barrier lake, glacier fed but looked so inviting

2) A foot bridge over the Elbow River

3) The red flowers are called Indian Paint Brushes

4) Our provincial flower, the Wild Rose

5) Our quiet little pool at the side of the river

6) A glance through the valley

7) After last years flooding this little stream has been misdirected through the trees

Minks, they are absolutely gorgeous! I love the Indian Paint Brushes-you know, when you have a lovely collection built up, you should submit them somewhere. They are very good!

ahahahahaha well it was well planned I had a handful of rocks .. much like skeet shooting ya know, I would say now, when the rock left my hand and Jr Minks would snap the picture with the cam. We have about 4 failed shots for every successful shot, it was fun and I bet we looked like 2 royal dorks trying that routine out. But the joys of digital allows for mistakes hehehehe
