I am not sure how it is in other countries, but I am noticing a big trend in the American media about referring to a pregnant woman's belly as her "baby bump" or just "bump". More often it is when referring to celebrity moms-to-be.
Whats the deal, and more importantly, where did this come from? It seems to have popped up out of no where.

Perhaps it's their polite way of saying they can't believe someone would actually volunteer to spread their seed with these women :wah:
