If you are referring to 'mad' as being insane then this is just for you.

They tell me I'm mad but I'm not..I'm insane

I know all the answers to things quite inane

Such as why do those flowers have eyes in their stems

And why do short gophers sing short gospel hymns

And why do tall oak trees have rings in their noses

And why do all bearded men claim that they're Moses

And why do those chickens who must cross the road

Eat slimy old, grimy old green horny toads

And why does the sun shine with such a red glare

And why did old Amos go out with a mare

These questions I'll answer for truth is astounding

And not quite as crazy as they may be sounding

Oh wait...here she comes with her ears large and flapping

I smile with such glee and my hands won't stop clapping

But now I must tell you while you still remain

I'm not really crazy....just slightly insane.

I'm a little nut of brown

Sleeping on the cold, cold ground.

Everybody steps on me,

That is why I'm cracked you see.

I'm a nut, I'm a nut, I'm a nut.

Call myself on the phone

Just to hear my golden tone.

Make a date with myself

At the latest half past eight.

I'm a nut, I'm a nut, I'm a nut.

Take myself to the picture show

Set myself in the very first row.

Put my arms around my waist

And when I get fresh I slap my face.

I'm a nut, I'm a nut, I'm a nut.

this is more for folks like you:

All around me are familiar faces

Worn out places

Worn out faces

Bright and early for the daily races

Going no where

Going no where

Their tears are filling up their glasses

No expression

No expression

Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow

No tomorrow

No tomorrow

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

When people run in circles it's a very very

Mad world

Mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good

Happy birthday

Happy birthday

Made to feel the way that every child should

Sit and listen

Sit and listen

Went to school and I was very nervous

No one knew me

No one knew me

Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson

Look right through me

Look right through me

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

When people run in circles it's a very very

Mad world

Mad world

Enlarging your world

Mad world

Six,

:-2 Remember when you ran away

And I got on my knees

And begged you not to leave

Because I'd go berserk?

Well. . .

You left me anyhow

And then the days got worse and worse

And now you see I've gone

Completely out of my mind

And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA

They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA

To the funny farm

Where life is beautiful all the time

And I'll be happy to see

Those nice, young men

In their clean, white coats

And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke

And so you laughed

You laughed when I had said

That losing you would make me flip my lid

Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh

You laughed, you laughed and laughed

And then you left

But now you know I'm utterly mad!

And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA

They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA

To the happy home

With trees and flowers and chirping birds

And basket weavers who sit and smile

And twiddle their thumbs and toes

And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

I cooked your food

I cleaned your house

And this is how you pay me back

For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!

Hah. . .

Well you just wait

They'll find you yet

And when they do they'll

Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!

And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA

They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA

To the funny farm

Where life is beautiful all the time

And I'll be happy to see

Those nice, young men

The BBC banned this single within a week of its release. Can you remember what year that was?

There are two versions of this on The Second Coming (the second one being the flip side of the single and the first version played backwards) plus another version by his 'wife'.

sixyearsleft wrote: What are the distractions and what is the objective?

are you at college?

The main distraction is work. I have to earn a living and as a subby, I have to do overtime. Then, I rent my place and I have to keep it in order (and it gets inspected on a regular basis by the landlord's letting agent), plus I have to keep my car well maintained so I can keep going to my contracts to work. I get about 3 hours in the evenings to deal with mail, paperwork, cook, FG, etc. and it goes by so quickly. (Tis a hard life.)

I do my own research to satisfy my own interests. I have several things on the go already. However, the year 2012 is of interest to me for a different reason to yours. However, such are the circumstances that I believe that there is possibly a correlation between what you are concerned about and what I came across. Your revelations have given me cause to to give this some urgency, but I need to find out more about the info I have before I can pursue it further. It might just as easily be a coincidence. On top of this, what I am currently researching is also very important to me. I did post about it in one of your very early threads, but I think it got overlooked.
