The space shuttle Discovery will launch in about 20 minutes.. (t-18 and counting) I was just listening to one of the former Astronauts talking about the food that they send up there with them.. He says the food is really bland.
If you were going to pack a lunch for a space shuttle astronaut.. what would you pack for him or her?
I think I would pack a crab-salad sandwich on sourdough, a nice bottle of white wine.. probably a Chardonnay, some Gouda cheese with crackers, and dill pickles.

It was a beaitul launch.. and what a great day to do it! Talk about fire-works!!
I'm just glad that the thing didn't end up like a bottle rocket! All indications point towards a perfect mission! I do wish they would have given me a call before they knew for sure they were going to launch.. I could have packed them a lunch

Yes, in this modern day and age, give them good eats! I would have sent some good seafood, and some potato salad or something along for the ride!

Glad the launch went well. Hope the journey stays safe.
I would send some nice home made comfort food...meat loaf, mac & cheese, maybe a turkey dinner with all the fixings...stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, and JELLO.

Sure you can, you have to be sneaky about it.
You hand her a dozen roses for her birthday.
Then a nice big package, with jello molds in it!:wah:
