Well I'm off to sleep on top of my bed with the ceiling fan directly above me on full speed. I might leave my Harry Potter pyjamas off too:wah:

Yeah. I've been hot, sticky and uncomfortable in Florida, yet hot, dry and comfortable in the Mojave desert. Humidity is unbearable

Many years ago we had snow in the winter, rain in the spring, nice WARM summers and mild and wet autumns.

Now we have dry dry winters where the temp. rarely goes below freezing, wettish spring, hot as hell summers and dry autumns. I can only tell you about where i live on the south coast of England of course and I live between the sea and the 'downs' so a kind of micro climate exists.

Last night I had to cut away a lot of dead foliage in the garden but I'm hopeful that everything will recover once we get a bit of rain and the temp. goes down. I guess we should have a re-think about the plants we grow in the UK gardens...maybe look at mediterranean.....

Well it 8.30 am and I'm at my desk in the factory and it's sweltering. I really feel sorry for the 120 guys and gals around me who are building loudspeakers. There is no air-con on the factory floor and there are no windows. We have a few fans around the place to move the air around a bit.

Thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days.....ahhhh.....relief....

So keep cool guys....drink LOADS.....it seems that wherever we are around the globe, the situations the same.

Hot here too, Bez, but with the usual sea breeze, thank goodness. Though even that didn't stop me from having a lousy night's sleep because of the heat. But, as you say, it seems the same for most of us.

Woke up to a very hazy day, it's getting hotter and hotter out there, I'm off to spend the day standing in a school field watching sports day. No trees to get a bit of shelter either. I'm going to melt............;)

As you all probably know, July 4th is a huge holiday in Boston. There is a big concert on the Esplanade (also called the Hatch Shell) with the Boston Pops Orchestra and amazing fireworks.

People arrive before sunrise to claim areas with blankets. They bring coolers and cards and books and stay all day, waiting for the nighttime festivities to start.

It's broadcast all over the United States on national television.

Unfortunately, along with a hot, hazy and humid day, the weathermen are predicting massive thunderstorms with thunder and lightning all evening and into the late night.

What a bummer:(

Well it's the 4th of July and we have a 40% chance of rain today and a 50% chance of rain tonight. Hope it holds off long enough for us to get the wedding done and over with. :-3
