I sent these to my friends last week but I have been remiss in not posting them here!

Taken from our front door at around 10 a.m. in the morning. We've had more Moose in our yard this year than ever.

Hi Marie5656,

Since we live in Northern Idaho - I don't know anyone in the U.S. that considers us "south". :wah: :wah: :D

You made me wonder about that as well. Looks like most northern states are in the Moose belt.

Thanks for the pictures! I haven't seen a live non-zoo moose since I left Northern Maine many years ago. I lived in Idaho for a while, but we were in Southern Idaho - Mountain Home AFB. I think it was too hot for moose there.

The heat, one can live with if necessary - it was the stench of the nearby cattle holding yards that convinced me that I did not want to live there any longer then the Air Force said we had too!

Wow! ... Amazing. I don't know very much about moose, other than what I've seen on TV docu's.

Are they shy creatures, or would they be likely to attack you? Assumimg they have no young ones around of course.

Very nice photos. Must be nice to have wildlife like that wander into your yard. All we get are stray dogs, cats and an occasional squirrel. :)

They are generally shy - well actually - they don't really care. They pay no mind to my barking dogs.

I'm sure you've read the stories about crazy Moose. Luckily, it seems that those Moose are east and north of us.
