I want to know why her husband was not charged with a crime.
He KNEW that she was unstable. He KNEW that she needed to take medicine for her depression. He KNEW that she was not taking her medicine. HE LEFT HER HOME ALONE WITH THE CHILDREN!!!!
I can not even imagine what it must be like for her to know that she killed not one or two of her children but all 5 of them.
I don't think she deserves to die for what she did although she might argue with me on that one.
I do think that her husband should have been charged with something. Child endangerment at the very least.

She waited until her husband was gone, and before her MIL got there. She KNEW what she was doing was wrong. She contemplated it for 2 years? This is not a crime committed during an act of rage. She knew it was wrong and she planned it out.
Her husband should be held accountable also for leaving those kids alone with an insane woman. The doctor should be held accountable for taking her off her meds.
I cannot understand how she can live with herself. You would think instead of trying to find ways to get out of prison, she'd try to find a way for a death sentence. Even if she did not realize what she was doing at the time, which I still think she did, now that she knows, how can she live with herself?

That is a great question: How can she truly live with herself? She must be on suicide watch all the time.
I don't think she should ever be free. Whether she is in prison or a mental hospital, she should be there for the rest of her days.
How much of the responsibility truly rests with her husband? And the doctor? These are all interesting questions.

I can't believe that her doctor took her off a powerful anti-psychotic drug without making sure she can function "normally" first.
But what I always wonder is why when a parent does this and then claims insanity, the devil is the one who made them do it?

Insanity is obvious, is it not? Whether she planned it or not anyone who kills their kids is, IMO, insane.
Why is suicide illegal? I've never understood that law.
