Am i the only person here, who is sick and tired of seeing peadophiles get lenient sentances:-5 . Let the punishment fit the crime i say.

I think every peadophile who is not imprisoned should be tagged for the duration of their natural life ...anyone agree/ disagree???? what do you think could be the solution .

I'd personally like to see the word "PAEDOPHILE" tattooed across their forehead.

Unfortunately though, these monsters are entitled to the same "human right's" as the rest of us.

What I'd actually like to see happen to them wouldn't be an acceptable read in FM .

I doubt there is a punishment severe enough to fit their heinious crime in any country, and so long as that remains in place, our children will NEVER be safe.

Why? Because our justice system is seriously flawed, and I thought that LONG before the recent events i my life.

I never had a doubt about that BR and your recent situation just goes to show it more. I like the idea of giving them to the family of the victim to do what they want with no repercussions. Some may be able to forgive, but I could kill them slowly and painfully in a heartbeat and not think twice about it.

It truly does NOT work? Since it's an accepted opinion that child molesters cannot be cured, what's wrong with real castration? Is that cruel and unusual punishment?

It doesn't seem cruel and unusual to me if it stops them raping a child.

But then again, I wouldn't mind seeing a whole slew of priests castrated anyway.

Not being nutered myself, I can only go by my daughters "male" dog that was nutered, as for reference. He used to go crazy when he was around female dogs, and or even humped peoples legs all the time. After being nutered, he stopped doing it completely! And shows no interest in female or male dogs, that way. :-2

Pedophiles do irreparable harm to citizens. This harm lasts for generations. If experts truly think they are at risk to cause such harm again, and can't be rehabilitated, why keep them around?

Only prob is that we don't have Capital Punishment here, or in the EEC, as far as I know .

A humane, painless injection makes us no better than them??? I'd say it shows a lot more mercy than they did to their victims. And I don't think they deserve that, either. Slow, tortuous, painful...that's what they deserve. Messing with children???? No, they don't deserve to be among society anymore.

I second the vote for the tattoo...

If there is any section of society that without a shadow of a doubt should be locked up forever, it's this one..

I get sick to my stomach at every new story and each time they get a slap on hte wrist sentence..

Personally...someone touched my child......it would take along time for the Police to find all of the pieces.. and l would do the time at least knowing they could not harm anyone else's child..

I agree. If someone did something to one of my children then the whole issue of how they would be punished would be a moot point.

Im afraid cars that neutering won't work as they use other methods to abuse if the can not get certain anatomical responses from parts of their body..

they should be locked up and never ever allowed out unless its in a box.

they are not human and do not deserve to have rights when the damage they do can cause so much damage for generations...

Its sad that it can cause vicious circles of abuse...child, becomes mum, but has psychological and emotional problems which causes them to not be able to interact or conneect with their own child...or cause them to abuse alcohol or drugs etc etc...

It is heart breaking to see the aftermath of one of those animals...

I think it's pretty damn sad that the REAL justice has to be doled out by the other prisoners. Effective, but sad.

The only thing society can do is lock them up until (a) the individual dies or (b) we find a sure-fire way of curing them.

Killing them, while sating revenge needs, is subject to the problems about doubt of guilt that are inherent in any criminal trial.

In my jurisdiction a court can order an indeterminate sentence for paedophiles, that is, a convicted defendant for certain offences (among them sexual offences against children) can be held until either (a) or (b) above happens. That works for me.

Suppose we find a desert island in the middle of some nameless sea and drop them off with a knife, a goat, some seeds and the sure/certain knowledge that they either get along with all the other pedophiles or they're dead?

(This is a semi-serious proposal. The old penal colonies had their advantages, don't you think?)
