Ok, I 'm sure this question has been asked and answered a million times, but here goes. I feel like such a novice to this whole dating game. I have just ended a long relationship, it was a very painful split, I don't want anything serious, but i do want to go out. Is there a way to date more than one man without being a slut or hurting anyone's feelings? I have had two dates with one man and he is calling me at work and at home and telling me that he misses me and assumes that we will be going out when i have a free night. I don't want to alienate the man, but I think he is moving too fast for me. I should just not be such a wuss and tel him, right? I want to enjoy being single, since that is what I am.

STOP letting this guy walk all over you and assume your time is all for him!!! 2 dates and he's getting this serious? I'd dump him like a bad habit. If he can't understand or accept "I want to date freely, nothing serious" then he's obviously an idiot, and why would you want to date an idiot?
Sorry, but I'm just kinda blunt that way....

Every woman's got "a pair", they just need to learn how to use them! You'll do fine with your new-found independence.

You guys are making me laugh!:yh_rotfl To CherandBuster, I kissed him goodnight, but I would not call it a passionate kiss, you know a peck. This guy is nuts though. I work at an Animal ER, very serious business. This guy shows up yesterday and has to have a "talk" with me. I'm right in the middle of a section on a cat with six kittens. Right!
You know, it really shouldn't be this hard, it's not like I met this guy at a bar or anything lke that either. He has a pretty good state job and I had every reason to believe that he would be reasonably sane, but he turns into a psycho 15 year old.
I rather be stalked by Nomad anyday!:yh_drool

Cheshire, even if he has a normal job, doesn't make him normal relationship-wise. Ted Bundy seemed normal. No, I'm not saying this guy is a psycho. But he seems to kind of have a problem with relationships. Perhaps that's why he's still single? Be honest with him. If he still doesn't get the hint... buy mace! From one single woman to another...

That's right - just tell him what you're thinking. If you like him but not that much, tell him. I guess I'd want to know if I was being too intense too soon. It's a shame because maybe he feels a connection that you don't, but you can'y humour him........show hiim the door - tell him you've met someone else
