Excellent another convert its an exciting game the best ones are usually 1-0 or a tie. It's physical, skills, and just fun.

To bad the US isn't looking sharp at all the have to win this period..:-5 or it home for them..

Well at the end of the first half it's 2-1 to Ghana. Cracking equaliser by dempsy. I think the penalty was a bit harsh though. Seems to be entertaining stuff. I'm watching the Italy v Czech Rep. game. The Czechs have had someone sent off. :wah:

Shame the USA didn't make it but it was nice to the Aussies just get through.

No problem. I like to see our fellow English speaking nations do well. Tough game next though against Italy but I think it's winnable.

That's immense! That guy is an absolute legend. I hope Australia do get to play Brazil now to prove him right even more . I hope it does get more Aussies into the game. Its great to see the likes of Viduka, Kewell, and Emerton (and a few others) play in the premiership over here.

I hope it does. It's nice to see football gaining popularity in countries where it is not traditionally popular. I think that the commentators said it was the 5th most popular sport in Australia. It's a shame that the Socceroos didn't make it this time. :-1

I dont think this would hold up as well if they had hypothetically won by playing as they have played through-out the World Cup. I mean, who would have the tenacity to say it was a fluke if they had obviously out played the opposition. Its not like luck plays a significant role in soccer. Its actually a sport I find to demand an overwhelming amount of skill from each player in order to succeed. They deserved better. They deserved atleast overtime.
