anaphylactic shock

This is a new word for me to learn.

Apparently I get a mild form of anaphylactic shock when faced with smoke from stubble burning and fuel reduction burning.

As far as I know, there is no equipment available in Austrakia that filters out the PM10 [particles of 10 micrins or less]. I shut myself in my house and take several puffers, but they only have a limited effect. I do have a tablet that I can take, but it has long run consequences. And I can't live inside a house for days or weeks on end.

At present I am investigating a source of filtering device from Germany. I have also contacted The Lung Society in Australia who are investigating. I have also contacted the Asthma Foundation, but, they too seem to be at a loss, especially as there are so many asthma sufferers as well.

The reason that I bring this topic up is to see if anyone has any ideas.

Take care,

Gordon.

I googled "pm 10 filter mask" and got this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... ilter+mask

I understand google is different in different countries, so here are a few links from that list.

Oh, did you have to have that nasty shot in the leg?

Teachers here are trained to give those, if they have a student who can suffer from this, due to severe allergies.

I wish you luck, I suffer similar attacks during forest fire season round these parts and that can really cramp my camping style. I hope you have success with the masks.

Is the anaphylaxis doctor diagnosed? Or are you just guessing?

Better to go directly to your primary care physician and she/he can

help you. If a filter is prescribed for you, you might even be able to

have insurance pay for it.

Or get an "epipen" for emergencies.
