Before the weekend my husband told me he wanted to get the bills all caught up. So, on Saturday I spent time going through the bills we had, and writing checks for them on his checking account. I put the bulk of my pay into his account. Anyway, I got them done, and told hi8m he just needed to sign the checks. There they were..sitting in the payment envelopes on the table next to him. Saturday came and went, and it was, I will sign them in a minute. Sunday the same thing, a couple of reminders, and "Yes I will get to it". Monday..no work...and no checks signed.

This morning, we are seconds away from leaving for work...and what do I hear.."Do you have the bills ready to be mailed? Where are the checks?" Thing is, if the bills are paid late, I am the one who hears about it because *I* was not on top of getting them paid.:-5

It just really irks me sometimes.

I'm usually the one going, "You DO know we have bills to pay, don't you? How do propose we buy this and that and this and still pay the bills?" At least your husband had good intentions of getting the bills paid. Get your name on that account or stop adding to it!

I rarely write checks nowadays. I was a bit apprehensive at first aboiut the security, but no problems so far after 4 years.
