Ok sorry if this sounds kinda woe is me.... but...

I was with an ex for 7.5yrs... when we had a holiday together it was only to a caravaning site... never went abroad... anyway not long after we split i heard he'd taken his new partner away abroad not sure where now...

Anyway i've since just recently split from another partner and heard this evening that he will be going away with a girl to Dublin for a few days... we were together almost 2 years and he's known her 2 weeks... altho been chatting to her online for a couple of months...

Why am i never the one to be taken away... i've never been abroad and feel so sickened to know that both ex's after leaving me after such a short time end up going somewhere nice... when they've known i've never been outta England! :(

Why is it never me!?

As it has been said before you can travel alone or go aboard with some friends instead... As for why you exes didn't take you abroad, who knows, maybe they didn't felt like it with you or they just didn't felt like doing much for you... Anyway, past is past as they say, hopefully your next BF will bring you abroad...

I've been married 40 years....my dream holiday was to go to the US. I didn't worry that we didn't have many holidays elsewhere because my husband was self employed.

A couple of years ago he came home and told me that someone had dropped out of an organised trip (pub) and that he was going in his place...you've guessed it....to America :-5 It broke my heart....

I go everywhere on my own now. I've been to Cornwall, Ironbridge gorge, the recent FG gathering, etc etc. (not abroad yet)

don't despair...you'll get to go abroad. If not with a partner, then go on your own. It takes a bit of courage at first...but when you've done it once you can can do it many times....

Good luck....Bez

Thank you all for your kind words...

I feel as though now i've had no sense of adventure... but looking back on it i feel they may've been the boring ones...

My last ex however was looking at holidays but at the last minute we realised the funds werent there to do it... shame really...

We are good mates still though... hence how i know he's going away with her...

I just have to get my life together and move on... not that easy though being in a new city!

End of the woe is me...

Thanx again... :D

Sounds like your exes were jerks.:(

Sometimes Snooze, I just wish you'd say what you think :D

Welcome LMN. Looking at your name reminds me that I need to go for an eye test.

I went abroad 3 times last year and intend to do the same this year. My wish is to make Judith Chalmers look like someone who needs to get out more ;)

I'm thinking of visiting the real world. I haven't been there but I hear it's nice
